What makes a humanist wedding special is that it will be completely tailored to you. It will have the right mix of words, music, tradition, novelty, old and new to reflect who you are.

Nett Furley

As an experienced wedding celebrant, I’ll help make your day truly special and memorable. Together we’ll turn your own dreams and ideas into reality.

We’ll have fun putting it all together. I’ll bring my professionalism and calm on the day, helping you to express your love and commitment to each other in the presence of your friends and family. All in a way that will be unique to you.

Once we’ve held our initial meeting, I’ll draft the script and together we will develop it until you’re happy that your wedding ceremony will allow you to express your love for each other and publicly state your commitment and vows to each other.

We can have a rehearsal near to the day and if possible, include everyone who will play a part in your ceremony. On the day, I’ll lead your ceremony, guiding you through each precious word and gesture.

Each one special – each one unique

I have led ceremonies in gardens, a French Chateau, the London Eye, a Norton Bikers’ Rally, a Spanish Hacienda, Community Centres, by the side of a Scottish Loch. Wherever they’ve been, I’ve loved being involved with each of them. Each one special and each one unique.

Fees

My fees will depend on what is involved in creating and leading your ceremony, but will be about £500 – plus agreed expenses.

A Humanist Wedding – an authentic celebration

Your Humanist Wedding Ceremony isn’t the same as a legal marriage. However, it’s no less real or meaningful.

Your marriage might be a brief, formal event at your local registry office. But your Humanist Wedding Ceremony will be authentic – a joyful celebration of love and commitment conducted in front of your family and friends.

Your Humanist Wedding Day will be a day for everyone to remember and treasure forever.

Vow renewals

Whether you’ve been together for 5 or 40 years, do you feel it just feels right to make a public declaration about your love for one another? As a Humanists UK celebrant, I receive personal information from you e.g. names, phone numbers and email addresses for the purpose of writing your ceremony script. Inevitably, a ceremony that best reflects your wishes and celebrates a life or a marriage is, by its nature, personal. All information received by me is stored securely and is only used for the specific purpose of producing a personalised ceremony. It will not be passed on to or sold to any third parties.
Live ceremony scripts are shared with my immediate Humanists UK colleagues in the event that I am unable to undertake a ceremony owing to illness or accident.
The personal information that you provide for the purpose of building a ceremony will be retained by me in case you require my services again and where such continuity is desirable. If you wish to have all your information erased immediately following a ceremony, or at any time thereafter, please get in touch by phone or email to confirm this and I will act accordingly
