I am an accredited celebrant living in Winchester who provides funerals, weddings, partnership and naming ceremonies in the South Hampshire area. I am married with one grown-up son.
I believe that, because I only have this one life, I should live life to the full according to moral and ethical principles, helping others along the way as far as I am able. Being a celebrant gives me a wonderful opportunity to use the skills I have gained in my working life to help non-religious people mark the important milestones in their lives.
My work with families as a teacher, and earlier when running a corner shop, has made me a good listener who is sensitive to personal relationships and emotional needs. I love the creative aspect of writing each unique ceremony to suit the style and beliefs of the people I am working with. I am an efficient communicator who can be relied upon to keep people in touch with how a ceremony is progressing. As an experienced public speaker, I can assure you that every ceremony I conduct will be delivered with appropriate pace and dignity, with humour or gravity as the situation dictates.
Having taken you through the planning, preparation and delivery of your ceremony, I will leave you with a high quality print of the entire ceremony, including contributions from all speakers, for you to treasure.
I am part of a local group of six celebrants who support each other and are able to provide a reliable and professional service. Between us we ensure that there is always a Humanist celebrant available to conduct ceremonies for families in this area. On the right you will find my contact details and links to some of my colleagues’ websites.
