My name is Adele Anderson and I am best known as one third of the satirical singing trio, Fascinating Aida. I co-write the lyrics and script and occasionally speak publicly on LGBTQI issues.
I am a patron of Humanists UK and recently became an accredited wedding celebrant. Although I am particularly interested in conducting same sex weddings, all comers are welcome! I am based in London, but am happy to travel farther afield.
A wedding day is such a special event that it should entirely reflect your wishes, untrammelled by the need to speak vows and jargon required by law. Although these are necessary, they are best spoken in a registry office in a short ceremony which would take place the day before your dream wedding. Then, you are free to choose whatever vows or affirmations you wish to exchange in your own words on your special day.
Many couples have a clear idea of what these will be but I am happy to help you craft them, if you wish. Similarly, I can suggest readings and music which may appeal. Together we can plan every aspect of the ceremony until you are entirely satisfied.
If you think I may be the celebrant for you, please email me for an initial consultation, which can take place in your home, in a public place, or even on SKYPE. If we agree to go forward, I would then send you a list of questions to consider before we meet again to begin the full process.
