About Adele Chaplin

Adele Chaplin is an experienced Humanist Funeral Celebrant based in Ipswich, Suffolk.

Adele was born and brought up in Dundee, Scotland.  At the age of 24, she moved to Suffolk and has lived in the area ever since. 

She has worked in a range of occupations such as website developer, web content creator and quality assurance assessor for companies like Norwich Union/Aviva, The BBC and The National Archives 

Adele decided to retrain as a Humanist funeral celebrant after taking a break from work to raise her family.  She has been a committed humanist for many years and decided to retrain as a Humanist celebrant after realising that the funeral offerings for non-religious people, were limited.

She lives in Ipswich, Suffolk with her husband and son.

She has a background in both music performance and creative writing, and as such is able to offer you a well-crafted, uniquely personal tribute.  She is able to advise on all aspects of the ceremony, from music selections, to readings and poems.
