About Me

I’m Amber. I’m 32 and living in Leeds.

I fell into the celebrant industry because my friend wanted me to be the celebrant for her own wedding. After much research, I decided to train with Humanists UK and found I loved it. I met a great group of people and it was so interesting to learn about weddings from a different perspective. I haven’t looked back since. It’s such a privilege to be part of someone’s special day and I take great pride in being able to give them exactly what they want.

In addition to celebranting, I work as an Academic Librarian and have done so for many years now, and I also teach English as an additional language to non-native English speakers. I’m a keen reader and writer, and I lived in Italy for 3 years so have a good grasp of Italian and can incorporate this into ceremonies. I also lived in Hong Kong for a year but can’t really say the same for my knowledge of Cantonese.

I love to eat, drink, travel, hike, run and camp, and I also love cats (or anything small and cute), socialising and generally being anywhere near the pub. Thrive on deep conversations and love getting to know people.
