FAQs

Will my ceremony be legal?

Humanist Ceremonies are only legally binding if you live in Scotland, Northern Ireland or Jersey. If you want to make your marriage legal, you’ll need to organise that separately.

I’m not religious but my family are. Can they still come to the ceremony?

Absolutely – everyone is welcome in a Humanist ceremony. The focus will just purely be on you as a couple, rather than a faith or belief.

I want a Humanist wedding but don’t know where to go from here

Send me a message or an email. We can arrange a phone call and I can answer all your questions.

How much does a Humanist celebrant cost?

I charge £600 per ceremony. You can find more information on my Prices page.

What if you don’t have availability for my wedding?

We have a whole network of Humanist celebrants. I’d be more than happy to make a recommendation for you, or you can search yourself on the HumanistsUK website.
