I am a Humanist celebrant living in North Hampshire.  I am available to conduct non-religious funeral and memorial ceremonies in Hampshire, Surrey and Berkshire, although I can travel further, and am happy to discuss travelling to a location outside of these areas if required.  My aim is to work with you to create a unique funeral, so the celebration of the life of your loved one is truly personal and right for you, your family and friends.

A funeral is a way of honouring and celebrating the life of someone who has died.  I am passionate about making sure that this is done right, because there is only one chance to do it.  As an atheist and humanist, I offer non-religious ceremonies because for people who have lived without faith, it can be a fitting way to say goodbye.  Although I respect those who do have a religious belief, it is my aim to provide choice for those who do not.

With a background in teaching psychology for 25 years, I have a wealth of experience that lends itself to being a celebrant.  It allows me to write tributes with sensitivity, speak confidently and with feeling. In addition, I understand loss from personal experience, allowing me to speak to family members or friends with empathy.

In other areas of my life I occasionally tutor students of psychology, I am a keen motorcyclist who likes to tour parts of Europe by bike and I have four beautiful, but very needy cats.
