Family Visits

I will usually visit the family of the deceased at their home or another convenient location to discuss the ceremony and the life we are to commemorate.  The visit lasts around an hour to an hour and a half and will mainly consist of learning about the person’s life, both the facts and figures and any stories and memories that you may like to share.

It is helpful if you have some information to pass on at this stage such as date and place of birth, schools attended, career history, family history, and information about hobbies and interests. Don’t worry if you don’t know all of this though. It is mainly to get a sense of the person who has died in order to write a fitting tribute to them.

We can also discuss music, readings, and other details at the visit.

After the visit, I will email a draft of the ceremony to you and you can make as many changes as you would like.
