My name’s pronounced “shaar-mee-uhn‘‘ it’s ancient Greek in origin and means ‘joy or delight’
Humanism is important to me and describes my positively held beliefs on human rights, an inclusive and secular society and compassionate help for those in need. I’m delighted to be part of Humanist UK’s trusted network of accredited celebrants
Humanist wedding ceremonies are non-religious, meaningful and memorable. No two Humanist weddings are the same, each ceremony is unique, all are warm, welcoming and inclusive.
In addition to weddings, I also conduct vow renewals, elopement (just for two) ceremonies. I work across London and am open to work further afield or overseas
As a humanist wedding celebrant My roles is a wonderful mixture of expressive storytelling, camaraderie and using my well honed organisational skills. I’ll write and deliver a joyful personalised ceremony all about you, filled with warmth and love
When you book me you can be sure that I will really care that your life milestone ceremony is everything you want it to be. From our first meeting through to your big day, your confidence in and enjoyment of our journey together is my priority.

- If you need encouragement – I’ll be your cheerleader and motivator
- Should you get a bit frazzled – I’ll offer you calm support and a practical plan
- When you’re looking for guidance and inspiration – I’d be delighted to share ideas and suggestions with you
- Feeling a bit overwhelmed – let’s lighten the mood, reassess and we’ll focus on what really matters
Your big day, your way: Each ceremony is custom-made to reflect your values, priorities, personalities and style. First timers or blended families, refined or rustic, formal or relaxed, conventional or free spirited, intimate or grand, traditional or reimagined – it’s entirely up to you.
There for you: I only do one wedding a day, so yours is always my priority
Your VIPs: Big, bijoux or just for two
Your special place: You aren’t restricted to licensed venues and can choose anywhere that has significance for you i.e. the place you had your first date/proposed . Your ceremony could be:
in an elegant villa, chic château, fairy tale castle, plush hotel, eco-friendly wedding venue, at your local pub. Or an outdoor ceremony in a beautiful park, on a hill top, in your favourite field, in the dappled shade of a woodland, on a beautiful beach, in your bestie’s back garden
3 Simple steps
- We’ll have a free, no-obligation chemistry conversation to get to know each other a bit better. I’d love to hear all about you, your hopes and dreams for your ceremony
- We agree to go ahead, sign a contract and you’ll pay a booking fee to secure the date. We’ll schedule an in-depth planning session and keep talking. I’ll write your ceremony script. You have the option of having a full rehearsal before your big day
- Your wedding day. I’ll arrive earlier to make sure that we’re 100% good to go
