A humanist wedding is crafted especially for you, based on your own ideas. Your wedding is deeply personal, highly individual and a wonderful way to express yourself. I’ll work with you to make your day memorable and meaningful. I’ve been leading humanist weddings since 2013, and they are always a highlight in my calendar.

Meriel and Angus were married on a campsite at Wookey Hole. The guests gathered to the sound of cow bells, their children passed round the wedding rings for all the guests to ‘warm’ with their good wishes, we blew bubbles and they gave stones from Angus’ native Scotland to all their guests.

We wanted to say an enormous thanks for our ceremony – it was everything we could have imagined (and even the girls did what they were supposed to!).  Many people have said how lovely and special it was, which certainly reflects how we felt – and it wouldn’t have been the same without you. Meriel & Angus

David and Simone got married at Lower Bruckland Nature Reserve, near to Beer where they both grew up. Their ceremony reflected the essence of who they are: being informal, being out in nature and … appreciating all of their friends and family around them.

We just wanted to thank you enormously for being such a wonderful celebrant and making the ceremony one that people will, undoubtedly, talk about for years to come. You made us feel so special and couldn’t have been more tuned in to what we wanted for that perfect day. We particularly loved how everyone was laughing and cheering all the way through. We couldn’t have asked for a better person to start what was the most amazing day of our lives.  All our love, Simone & Dave

Lotty and Jack wanted a wedding with a traditional feel and a unique twist. Their setting was a marquee in the garden where Lotty grew up and included traditional vows alongside singing together and Jack’s mum reading an Indian blessing.

We just wanted to say a HUGE thank you for making our wedding day such a special event. We had so many compliments about the service itself. I think its individuality will really stick out in people’s minds for years to come. Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts. Lotty & Jack

Rob and Jan had their ceremony in a tepee in the garden. They chose to affirm their marriage by lighting of a ‘unity candle’, representing inspiration, aspiration, power and passion.  It was a lovely way to show their desire, and to unite two families together.

Just to say once again thank you so much for being our celebrant on our most magical of days. Rob and I had a wonderful time and all our guests were very impressed with the ceremony. Thank you for being part of it. Jan & Rob

Tim and Emma got married at a family friend’s farm; inside the milking barn! They chose a handfasting ceremony; and included lots of family and friends in presenting the readings.

We just wanted to thank you again for such a lovely and personal ceremony on Saturday. We had an amazing day. I think lots of people found themselves surprisingly touched with the ceremony perhaps being sceptics of humanist ceremonies!  Your personal approach really made it special. Tim & Emma

Zoe and Chris had a ceremony with no guests at Avebury stone circle. It included inviting two passers by to give the readings: it was a wickedly spontaneous event.

Dan and Rhiann had a festival wedding in tepees overlooking Chew Valley Lake.

Thanks so much for our wedding ceremony! So many people have commented on what a lovely service it was, so we really appreciate it. The day was just prefect for us. Dan & Rhiann

Carly and David were married at the Roman Baths, where their little boy Lincoln was in charge of the wedding rings.

All the guests said how lovely you were and how beautiful and personal you made the ceremony. They said it was the best wedding they have been to because of the lovely script you wrote and they wish they had done the same for their weddings. Everything went smoothly and we all had an amazing time. Thank you so much for being a part of this next step in mine, David’s and Lincoln’s life. You have been so important in making our wedding beautiful and special. Carly & David
