‘Donna was the celebrant at our civil partnership in February 2019. It was a truly wonderful experience from beginning to end and she guided us through the process with such care and attention to detail that I can’t imagine anyone else who could have done a better job.

She began by visiting us at home and talking to us about our story, how we’d got together and the important people in our lives. Before she arrived, we were quite daunted by the prospect of talking about ourselves, but Donna proved to be such an excellent listener and great communicator that we were immediately put at our ease. She also made some suggestions about how we could introduce some symbolic elements to the ceremony.  After the second visit Donna was able to produce a draft document for our approval.

What can I say, it was wonderful. Intelligent, witty and very moving. We made a few small amendments and added some more information and Donna waited until we were completely happy with the speech before producing the final draft.

On the day itself, Donna was incredible. She delivered the ceremony with such warmth and humour (something that was very important to us) and she even participated in a flash-mob that had been arranged by my partner as a surprise for me. There were so many people who complemented us on the ceremony and Donna’s delivery of it and we could not have been happier with the service she provided.
