Some kind words, from beautiful couples…

Charlotte and Max’s kind words….when Covid struck and the wedding was postponed…

Mike and Rupa’s Wedding Affirmation Ceremony, Garden, London (2020)

“Couldn’t recommend Eliza more. On really short notice she turned around an amazingly intimate ceremony full of tears, laughs and pure joy. Our ceremony was conducted entirely over Zoom and it was better than I could ever have imagine! Can’t thank you enough.

Terry and Sophie – Virtual Wedding Affirmation Ceremony (2020), Leicester.

“Eliza is warm, funny and caring – all the things you’d want in a celebrant. When Coronavirus scuppered our wedding plans, she was incredibly supportive. She suggested that we could mark the original wedding date by holding a virtual ceremony. At first we were a little nervous, but after some further thought we decided that it would be a nice way to do something positive during a time of unease for everyone. Eliza involved us in developing the ceremony and she hosted it using Zoom. It went so well and we absolutely LOVED it! The whole thing what would have been a difficult day, a really special one and one to remember for years to come! Our family and friends really enjoyed it too. I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone in the same position as us. Really looking forward to the the full shebang in January 2021! Thanks again, Eliza you rock xxx

Ben and Heather (2019), Wedding Ceremony, disused Medieval Church, Wolfampscote

Eliza was fantastic ! Asking her to be our celebrant was the best decision we could have made. Her warmth, energy and humour made the ceremony so very special. She captured the essence of who we are and our guests were bowled over by the the ceremony she helped create. I can’t recommended Eliza Johnson highly enough A truly special human being and a perfect celebrant.

Lizzie and Will (2019), Wedding, Stone Barn, Costswolds.

We would highly recommend Eliza. From the moment we met her we knew she was the celebrant for us. She just seemed to ‘get’ us. She made every effort to get to know us as a couple in the lead up to the wedding and she was always there if we needed her for ceremony planning and vow advice. Our ceremony was incredible and everything we hoped for. She incorporated the traditional aspects we wanted, within a deeply personal and heartfelt ceremony. There was a perfect balance of humour and sentimentality and so many people commented on what a real and authentic ceremony it was. Eliza, we can’t thank you enough xx”

Des and Thahn (2019), Anglo-Vietnamese Fusion Wedding, St Mary’s Guild Hall, Coventry.

“Thank you so much for being our celebrant. Loved every single second of it. Our ceremony, our way.  Couldn’t imagine the ceremony without you…”                                                                                        (Des 2019)

Colin and Rhiannon (2018), Wedding Ceremony, Stratford-Upon-Avon

“…Thank you also for all the time you put into getting to know us beforehand, the story of our relationship, and what we loved about each other. Apart from helping to shape the ceremony it was a welcome change from all the other ‘wedmin’ appointments in the lead up to the big day: while at those we were focused on making choices about flowers, colours etc, our meet ups with you were about why we loved each other and what we hoped for from our future together as a married couple. It really brought us back to focussing on the whole purpose of getting married….”                                         (Rhiannon 2018)

Rachael and Matt (2019), Wedding Ceremony, Old Library, Birmingham.

“…the wonderful and talented Eliza. She made our wedding day so special, made it feel like it was her pleasure not her job and went constantly out of her way to help us from the start to the end of the process. I could not have asked for a better person to conduct the ceremony for us on this truly special day. I can’t recommend Eliza enough she embraced our quirky and unusual style and managed to twist the ceremony to reflect us perfectly. Awesome…”     (Matt 2019)

Karen and Kevin (2019), Solstice Field Wedding, Shropshire

“Eliza is a warm and easy character, an expert wordsmith and a gentle but inspiring leader of an event. She took the time to get to know us and helped to turn our basic ideas into a highly personalised wedding ceremony that met our very specific needs. We both lost our spouses to cancer in recent past and wanted to include planting trees for them and incorporating their ashes into the proceedings. Some people we talked to balked at the idea but Eliza helped us to do it in a quiet and sensitive way on the day before lifting the tempo and moving on to this, the next joyous stage of our lives. People cried, they laughed and we all rejoiced in the finding of new, lasting love and life…”                                                                                        (Karen 2019)

Tracy and Steve (2019), Vow Renewal – Coventry

“From the first time we met Eliza we knew we’d met the right person to perform our vow renewal ceremony. All the way along she advised and supported us. She totally understood what we wanted and created our beautifully perfect ceremony. We have no hesitation in recommending Eliza.”

(Tracy 2019)

Ade and Andrea (2019) – Secret Wedding, Meriden

“Thanks Eliza, you were absolutely brilliant.”             (Adrian, 2019)

Lucy and Paul (2018) – Narrow Boat, commitment ceremony. Birmingham

“We had only one idea, we wanted our ceremony on a boat; apart from that we really had no clue! The greatest/hardest thing about creating your own ceremony is that there are no signposts…Luckily we clicked with Eliza’s easygoing attitude, and she put in the work researching some fantastic ideas that really made our ceremony special to us – we thank her for being so patient and helping our big day go so smoothly, adding a sense of fun and solemness at the perfect moments. And pulling it all together in such a small space?! We often reminisce, it was everything we wanted and more. Thank you!

Joe and Elissa (2018) – Garden Wedding, Nuneaton.

“Dear Eliza, thank you so much we can’t tell you enough how we loved having you involved in our day! You have helped and guided us through some tricky times and gave the most wonderful support. Our ceremony was everything we could have hoped for and more, all thanks to you! We blumming love you!”

Elissa 2018

Des and Amanda (2018) – Secret wedding, football stadium!! Wolverhampton

“We would like to thank you so much for making our evening so perfect. It was, and probably will be the oddest marriage ceremony you will have conducted this year and we’re so glad you went along with us and helped us to make it the best surprise for our friends and family. X”
