Hello, welcome to my website!

My name is Emily and I am here to help you celebrate the life of your loved one, by supporting you in delivering a meaningful and personal funeral ceremony.

I live in Whiteabbey, just North of Belfast, with my partner and our one year old son, Hector.  The dog you see peeping out behind my head in the photo above was our little lurcher, Clemmie, who is unfortunately no longer around but is still a huge piece of our hearts: if you have pets of any kind I’ll always be delighted to meet them too!

I’m more than happy to travel to meet with you anywhere in Northern Ireland, or even further afield- I will go wherever you need me.

When my beloved grandfather died 8 years ago, we weren’t sure what to do about arranging an appropriate send-off: he wasn’t religious, so what were our options? This is when I was introduced to humanism. My family was put in touch with a celebrant who visited our house and really took the time to get to know, not just who grandad was as a person, but listened to what we wanted to see in a celebration of his life; I learned that funerals are not only a ceremony for those who are gone, but an important part of helping family and friends to gain some sense of closure and acceptance in their journey of grief. What came of this interaction was a beautiful- sometimes humorous- and reflective ceremony, that totally captured the essence of who he was.

I want to lift some of that pressure and pain from your shoulders in what are probably some of the hardest days of your life.
