My Values

I want to celebrate and encourage people who are trying to retain their identities through the drama and pressure of wedding planning.

I aim to be another of the celebrant communities inclusive and diverse wedding providers. I want to be in a world where it’s normal to see people who aren’t white, aren’t straight, who are plus-size, have disabilities, might be older, who are trans or non-gender-binary, people who aren’t rich, aren’t prim and aren’t proper.

“All you need is love!”

I will fight the good fight against heteronormativity and the gender binary until it isn’t something that needs to be mentioned.

I support people all along the non-traditional spectrum. Your wedding should be a reflection of YOU, not other people’s tastes – and that includes mine!

I make a point of purchasing recycled products, such as paper and printer ink cartridges, and properly dispose of any hazardous waste materials. Conserve energy wherever possible and (in 2023) travel via full electric car in order to reduce harmful emissions.

I support my community by donating a portion of my income from this work to Humanist UK and The Zink Foodbank (Buxton).

I try to demonstrate social values in the way I conduct my business. I provide a business environment where suppliers are treated fairly, and I only use suppliers who share my same values. I try to balance my desire to run a profitable business with conducting it in an ethical manner.

If you are thinking of releasing doves, butterflies, balloons or lanterns then please don’t get in touch. I am a lover of the natural world and none of these symbolic acts show any respect for nature. Sorry but it’s a red line for me.
