Why Have a Bespoke Ceremony?
The wedding ceremony then becomes the heart of the wedding day – it can be traditional, and inclusive of cultural rituals or it can be creative and you can reinvent your idea of a wedding ceremony. We will work together to create a ceremony unique to you. You can write your own vows, choose poems, songs and music that are meaningful to you. The beauty of this kind of ceremony is that it can look exactly how you would like it to. Telling your unique personal love story, including things that are most relevant to you and involving people that you want to share this moment with.
No two weddings need to look the same, because we’re all different people.
Your wedding isn’t a contest – there’s nothing to prove except for that you love your partner.

Being a wedding celebrant is a confidential job. I always “joke” that I will try and make you speak out loud what you feel inside, but it’s true! I want to know what makes you work as a couple. What do you love about each other, how did you meet, what did you feel as time went on.
It’s an honour to be included in such private moments during the planning of your wedding day, and the closer of a relationship we have, the better the ceremony.
I want you to show me your love and excitement, rather than put you through an ordeal. There are obviously things I don’t need to know!
I haven’t known you since primary school, but if you give me the information, I promise your ceremony will make it seem that I have. I won’t make stuff up, this ceremony is yours, it’s the one time for us to get it right, let’s give everyone a glimpse into what brought us here to this wedding day. It will be special, people will cry, and it will have been worth it.
Have whatever makes you happy.
You get one day to do this, don’t waste it on things that don’t bring you joy. No flowers, fine. No ties, fine. Up a mountain, let’s do it. 10-minute ceremony, I’ll write it. 50-minute ceremony….steady on, no one wants that come on.
Weddings are a reflection of your most authentic self. I’m here to encourage you through each decision in whatever way is the best for you and your partner.

Words to use, words not to use. Who we remember on the day. Someone you don’t want to mention. Periods of time in your life that you would rather forget. Let me know what’s important to you and it will then become important to me. There will be no surprises on your day, everything personal in the ceremony script will have been vetted by you the couple, if you don’t like it or I have it wrong we will change it.
