About Graham Downes
Hello I am Graham, accredited to take Weddings, Funerals and Namings.
I am an experienced public speaker, facilitator, and creative director/writer.
My career has centred on making creative partnerships with individuals, groups, and communities. As a creative director, I have been involved in collaborative partnerships leading to a wide variety of huge, mid-range and small public events all over the UK.
I was an Expert Member of the European Task Force on AIDS. I led collaborative, creative workshops concerned with HIV prevention in ten European member states.
I am especially proud to be asked by Humanists UK to mentor trainees, thirty to date, as they undergo their celebrant training for all the ceremony types.
I live in Forest Gate in east London. I am available to conduct weddings, funerals and naming ceremonies predominantly in north, central and east London, also in Essex and beyond, subject to negotiation. I have taken ceremonies in Scotland and the USA and Palermo in Sicily as well.
Fees will vary depending on the nature of the ceremony, how complex it may be combined with where you live and where the ceremony is to take place.
