For the more than half the people in the UK who are non-religious, ceremonies and rituals are still profound and meaningful experiences.

Humanists UK seeks to represent and advocate for their needs, and this is especially important for the special occasions in our lives when we want them to reflect the lives we actually live.

As a celebrant, I represent those needs on a very personal level, by helping people put their stories and values into the centre of the ceremonies with which they chose to honour their lives and the people they love.

Beautiful Carmarthenshire has been my home for nearly 10 years, and when I’m not being a celebrant, I’m an artist and writer. I speak a conversational level of Welsh – still learning. I have a cat, an unruly garden, and I play the piano (badly). I moved to Wales to be closer to my family, but before that, I worked at an international charity as creative director and brand manager. I’ve been a fundraising copywriter for the charity sector for over 25 years. A career founded on communication and writing means that I can offer an experienced hand in being able to deliver a ceremony focused on your needs.

Humanists UK have always been supportive of the LGBTQ+ community and continue to campaign for their rights. As a celebrant I make sure that the needs of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people, and their families are honoured and met with sensitivity.

Seremonïau digrefydd ystyrlon, yn arbennig i chi
Mae dros hanner y bobl yn y DU yn ddigrefydd, ond mae seremonïau a defodau yn brofiadau llawn mor ddwys ac ystyrlon.

Nod Dyneiddwyr Cymru yw cynrychioli ac eirioli dros eu hanghenion, ac mae hyn yn arbennig o bwysig ar gyfer yr achlysuron arbennig yn ein bywydau pan fyddwn am iddyn nhw adlewyrchu ein bywydau go iawn.

Fel gweinydd, rwy’n cynrychioli’r anghenion hynny ar lefel bersonol iawn, trwy helpu pobl i roi eu straeon a’u gwerthoedd yng nghanol y seremonïau a ddewiswyd ganddynt i anrhydeddu eu bywydau a’r bobl maen nhw’n eu caru.

Ynglŷn ag Ingrid
Rwy’n byw ynghanol harddwch naturiol Sir Gaerfyrddin ers ymron i 10 mlynedd, a phan nad ydw i’n weinydd, rwy’n artist ac yn awdur. Rwy’n siarad digon o Gymraeg i gael sgwrs – dal i ddysgu. Mae gen i gath, gardd gwbl afreolus, ac rwy’n canu piano (yn wael). Symudais i Gymru i fod yn agosach at fy nheulu, ond cyn hynny, roeddwn i’n gweithio i elusen ryngwladol fel cyfarwyddwr creadigol a rheolwr brand. Mae gen i dros 25 mlynedd o brofiad fel ysgrifennwr copi codi arian ar gyfer y sector elusennol. Mae gyrfa sy’n seiliedig ar gyfathrebu ac ysgrifennu yn golygu y gallaf gynnig llaw brofiadol i allu cyflwyno seremoni sy’n canolbwyntio ar eich anghenion.

Mae’r Dyneiddwyr bob amser wedi bod yn gefnogol i’r gymuned LHDT ac yn parhau i ymgyrchu dros eu hawliau. Fel gweinydd rwy’n sicrhau bod anghenion pobl hoyw, lesbiaidd, deurywiol a thrawsrywiol, a’u teuluoedd, yn cael eu hanrhydeddu a’u bod yn cael eu diwallu â sensitifrwydd.
