Firstly, congratulations on your forthcoming big day!
I am a wedding celebrant based near Tring in Hertfordshire, where I live with my husband and our two small children.
I came to humanism when planning my own wedding a few years ago. I wanted a ceremony that was truly personal and unique. I loved the fact that having a humanist wedding meant that we had a ceremony that was full of fun, love and laughter and was all about us as a couple.
In fact, I loved our humanist wedding so much I decided to train to become a humanist wedding celebrant myself! It was definitely a good decision. I love my work, it’s a privilege to be a part of a couple’s special day and to help them make memories that will last a lifetime.
You don’t have to be a humanist to have a humanist wedding. You may want a non-religious ceremony that’s personal to you, or you might want the opportunity to marry outdoors under the stars. A humanist ceremony gives you the opportunity to marry where you want, when you want and how you want.
In choosing to have a humanist ceremony it means your wedding can be as traditional or unconventional as you like, whether you want it to be small and intimate, big and beautiful, laid back and relaxed or creative and characterful. Your wedding ceremony should capture the emotions, the details, the laughs and most importantly it should tell ‘your story’ and be about who you are as a couple.
I will work with you to ensure your day is deeply meaningful and personal, with everything from the words, to the readings, to the choice of songs or music. I pride myself on creating and delivering beautiful wedding ceremonies that couples will love and remember for the rest of their lives.
If you are thinking of having a humanist wedding ceremony or you have any questions, then please do get in touch. I look forward to hearing from you and helping you to create a truly magical day.
