Hello! I’m a naming ceremony celebrant based in Northern Ireland, trained and accredited by Humanists UK.

My introduction to humanism came through attending a humanist wedding. The wedding was not only deeply personal but also thoughtfully crafted to reflect the couple’s values and story. Every element, from the words spoken, to the rituals included, was tailored to the happy couple. It was an incredibly beautiful and memorable occasion. After a deeper dive into humanism, I decided to train as a humanist naming celebrant.

As a celebrant, I create and deliver joyous, heartfelt, and uplifting personalised humanist naming ceremonies, welcoming children to the world and celebrating their uniqueness. The ceremonies are not just for babies; they are for all ages of children, including teenagers. These celebrate all stages of family life, for example, welcoming stepchildren into a new blended family. They also don’t have to be for children; you may find yourself transitioning from one identity to another and wish to mark the ‘new’ you and the fabulous person you will be going forward.

A naming ceremony can be combined with a birthday party. Naming Ceremonies can be small family occasions or bigger events to include extended family and friends. Your ceremony can be held indoors or outdoors, on the beach, in the forest, at home, or that gorgeous restaurant, where would you choose?
