“Leilia is a phenomenal celebrant who created a wonderful ceremony for us.

“Before we started planning our ceremony, we hadn’t conceptualised what we wanted — how do you capture your relationship in a script? We only knew that we wanted it to be personal to us. Sitting down with Leilia, it all became so easy. She listened and guided us through a discussion of how we fell in love, our feelings for each other, and what marriage meant to us. Within a few days, she had sculpted this into a script that perfectly distilled our relationship. As we went through a few rounds of edits (though there weren’t many to make), Leilia was always gracious and accommodating.

“If you’ve started planning your wedding, you know that it can be stressful. There are so many decisions to make, suppliers to coordinate, and timings to unravel. In the midst of all of this, Leilia was a beacon of calm competence and warmth. Together, we planned when we wanted things finished (the vows, the reading, the script), and then worked to fit it around other commitments. Leilia gently but firmly held us to our timeline. She’s also lightning-fast and impressively organised. We always knew when we were meeting next and often she’d get back to us well ahead of schedule. Thanks to Leilia, the part of the wedding that was most important to us was also the easiest.

“It made such a difference to have someone we could trust crafting our ceremony. Leilia did everything. She created the script, coordinated with the musician and day-of-coordinator, and helped us work out all the little logistical details. But perhaps most importantly, Leilia’s unwavering encouragement allowed us to be vulnerable when writing our vows, giving us confidence to be open with ourselves and our loved ones during this special moment. When we finished writing our vows, we knew we could trust her with our words — she pre-read our vows (which we kept secret from each other) and took special care to make sure they complemented each other.

“The ceremony itself could not have gone better. Leilia is a wonderful public speaker, she knows how to hold a room’s attention, when to pause for effect, and when to inject a little levity. Everything flowed seamlessly and we always knew exactly what to do next. Neither of us is used to being the centre of attention, but we felt very comfortable standing in front of everyone and that we could concentrate completely on each other, knowing that Leilia was guiding us through everything. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room.

We don’t think our ceremony would have been as personal, heartfelt, or memorable without Leilia. We feel so fortunate she was our celebrant and we cannot recommend her highly enough. We received so many compliments from friends and family on the ceremony. Best of all, we’re going to get to see Leilia in action again: some friends were so impressed that she’ll be marrying them next year!”
