You don’t have to be a humanist to book a humanist ceremony.

I expect you already have the basics of what humanism is all about. If not, have a mooch about the HUK page, especially the How Humanist Are You? Quiz. Even if you are religious. You may be surprised at the overlap.

Humanism is a non-religious way of making sense of this crazy world. Rather than worshipping gods and following holy books, humanists base their life choices on scientific evidence and experience.

Despite the spectrum of humanist beliefs, there is a general consensus that we cannot know what happens to us when we die. Suspecting that there may be nothing else – that this is our only shot at life – makes us understand how precious it is to live the best we can, and to help others to do similarly.

One of the best things about humanism is that it is accepting of everybody, no matter what your beliefs. It is human nature to have different ideas. The key to a peaceful world is tolerance and acceptance. So everyone is welcome to any humanist ceremony, and anyone is welcome to book one.
