About Mark
I was born and still live in Liverpool although I manage to travel a lot, apart from the lockdown period when my passport gathered dust. My upbringing was as part of a family of 8 kids, an Irish Catholic Mum and a Scouse Dad
I live in the Georgian Quarter which is an amazing neighbourhood in the shadow of one of 2 cathedrals the city has.
As well as my work with Humanist UK I have other interests including a pub that my Husband Dean manages, it is on the waterfront and we have had one or two ceremonies in the function room.
There is nothing more enjoyable than having the pleasure to meet with families, couples, Mums & Dads and
to help them prepare, gathering information and presenting amazing stories into their chosen celebration
I am trained and accredited by Humanist UK and my role is to provide a non religious service, a celebration based on the information people share with me. I have extensive experience of both writing and public speaking as part of my othe career. I belive in bringing laughter into all celebrations, including funerals, to put guests as ease and to tell their stories to the best of my abilities.
HUMANIST CEREMONIES is a network of humanist celebrants trained and accredited by Humanists UK. We offer humanist naming, wedding or partnership, and funeral and memorial ceremonies for non-religious people. Each ceremony is unique, appropriate, and personal. Our skilled celebrants come from all walks of life and have great integrity, sensitivity and experience. Their ceremonies reflect these personal qualities and the excellence of our training.
Feedback forms show that 97% of clients rate our celebrants' performance as 5/5 or 'excellent'. To leave feedback after a ceremony, click here.
Humanist Ceremonies offers non-religious ceremonies throughout England, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands. In Scotland, these ceremonies are offered by Humanist Society Scotland.
