About Me

I was born in Liverpool and live in the city’s Georgian Quarter, an amazing neighbourhood in the shadow of 1 of the 2 cathedrals the city has. I was brought up as 1 of 8 children to an Irish Catholic Mum and a Scouse Dad.

As well as my work with Humanist UK, my other interests include travelling, wherever and whenever I can (although the recent lockdown period allowed my passport to gather dust!) and the Pub that my Husband, Dean manages. Having been in his family for over 30 years, it’s a traditional pub offering a warm welcome and the function room has played host to a couple of my ceremonies.

My other career managing businesses over the years has allowed me to gain extensive experience of writing and public speaking. I enjoy the process of hearing loved one’s stories, gathering information and creating the story to capture the important features, truly reflecting what makes them who they are.
