Funerals & Memorials

Over a relatively short period, I lost my sister and both of my parents as well as a very close friend. Those events gave me the experience to understand what loss is and grieving. The process of preparing and writing their stories, reflecting on how they lived their life was part of my healing process.

There are so many things that loved ones want to share when preparing for a funeral or memorial and it’s my job to collate that information, offer suggestions and when the day arrives provide a true reflection of who they are and how they lived their life.

When preparing a loved one’s story, it’s important for me to approach as though the story I tell is about someone close to me. It allows me to capture your love and emotions, so I can accurately reflect on your loved one and tell their story.

From the first contact, I will arrange a telephone to gather key information and to arrange a home visit to meet with family members. During that time, I will gather the information needed, assist with choosing poetry, music and most importantly listen to your stories of your loved one, their achievements, their passions and what made them who they are.
