About Nia Bevan
I was born and raised in South Wales but have lived in the North West for the last thirty years, since studying music at Manchester University. I firmly believe that my musical training and performing experience have helped me to develop many of the skills I draw from when planning, writing and delivering a funeral ceremony.
Although a humanist ceremony is non-religious, it is also inclusive. If you have family and friends with different beliefs, we can include quiet time for reflection or private prayer during the ceremony. With my musical background, I can also help you with music choices if necessary and advise on readings or poetry.
Attention to detail is so important to me. I will strive to create a fitting tribute for your loved one and will guide you through the planning process. After we’ve met and chatted, I will write the ceremony from scratch, steered by you. We can include contributions from family members and friends or you can just leave it to me. If you want to change anything I have written, that’s absolutely fine. I will email you a draft copy of the ceremony a few days before the funeral so that you can double check all details are correct.
I’m happy to chat without any obligation before you make your decision; once we start talking you’ll soon know whether I am the right person to conduct the ceremony for you. You can also click on the “Testimonials” tab at the top right of this page and read feedback from previous clients.
I’m based in Altrincham and cover most of Cheshire as well as Stockport and Manchester.
