I conduct humanist funeral ceremonies in Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and the surrounding areas. Each funeral is carefully tailored to the needs of the deceased’s family and is a personal, meaningful and unique tribute to the person who has died. A funeral ceremony is a celebration of that person’s achievements and their contribution to other people’s lives. For each funeral, I offer a face to face (or virtual) meeting with the family; the preparation of a draft script which you will have the chance to review and comment on in advance; and then I will lead and co-ordinate the service on the day, usually in close collaboration with a funeral director. I will give you the ceremony that best suits your needs – there are no hard and fast rules! I am always keen to accommodate what the deceased person would have wanted.

I enjoy telling the story of someone’s life, celebrating their achievements and remembering the positive impacts that they had on those around them. I am flexible and easy to talk to & am able to use the experience, knowledge and skills that I have developed over my own life to offer a service to those who require a high quality, non-religious funeral ceremony. This includes cremations, burials and other, often more informal, celebrations of life. Do get in touch to see what I can offer you.
