ABOUT RACHEL DALE

Hello,

Fliss and Jon

So you have a ceremony coming up?

Well, if you’ve come this far then whatever you’re looking for – I think I can help…

My desire to become a celebrant came about through being so disheartened by the  impersonal nature of various ceremonies I had been to – weddings, christenings and  funerals.

What is supposed to be one of the most important and memorable of days marking peoples lives – should be about them, capturing what is unique and special about them personally, the way they would like it not the way society or anything/anyone else says it should be.

I’m a professionally trained actress and the skills I have developed in that capacity are  invaluable as a celebrant. You will always hear every word I say for a start!

I am also an experienced writer: from writing a weekly newspaper column to bespoke poems for friends to character monologues which I sometimes perform on the comedy circuit – it all rather helps with writing the ceremonies too.

I love meeting new people and learning about them, I am not daunted by public-speaking and will not make your ceremony like an episode of Acorn Antiques (unless you wish – that could be fun!).

Whatever your wishes, it will be entirely to your style and taste –

intimate or epic, traditional or wacky, inside or out…

I am sensitive and completely adaptable to your needs, non-judgemental and open-minded.

Variety is the spice of life and I like a change.

It’s your day and should be as you wish. It’s my job to work with you and make that happen.

I’m a non-God ‘Godmother’ and was best woman at my best friend’s themed civil partnership; both were joyous because they had the freedom not necessarily otherwise available. Offering that service myself is something everyone says I’m perfect for.

My aim is to make sure you get what you are hoping for and your loved ones come away recognising the ceremony was about you or maybe even learned something new about you. How many times is this not the case? And how disappointing is it when that happens.

Weddings – straight or gay, namings, divorces, renewal of vows, memorials, funerals, or whatever occasion you wish to mark – let’s have a chat. I can help and I’d love to meet you.

So many of our guests commented on how brilliant they thought you were. Thank you very much for making our day so wonderful – it was perfect in every way. Sophie and Nicola

Thank you so much for being our celebrant and for being such an integral part of the happiest day of our lives. You really were the perfect choice & the ceremony was just as we hoped it would be. Everyone came and told us how much they enjoyed the ceremony and how memorable it was and what a great job you did. Ben and Richard

We really can’t thank you enough for everything that you did in order to make our wedding day such a stonking success! Interestingly it also gave people a perspective on Humanism as we were answering questions throughout the evening on the ceremony process. An incidental that we particularly liked was being able to face our friends throughout the service rather than an altar. If you ever need a testimonial as to your skills, professionalism and warmth, please look no further than us!! With very best wishes, Mr & Mrs Denham!
