Pre-planned Funerals
Pre-planning your funeral ceremony can be a cathartic and positive experience. It can also help your loved ones after your death which will, no doubt, be a sad and challenging time. Pre-planning gives you and your family confidence that your farewell ceremony will be conducted in line with your wishes. Humanists UK pre-planning service allows you to discuss your wishes in advance and for them to be recorded and stored securely until needed.
If you would like help to pre-plan your funeral or memorial service, I will be happy to assist you. We can meet in person, virtually via Zoom or FaceTime, or speak on the phone to discuss your wishes for the ceremony – whatever works best for you.
After we have met, I will write up the notes of your wishes (or a full or partial script, if required). Once approved, these will be securely stored by Humanists UK. In addition to both you and me, you can also give permission to access your wishes to a family member/s or friend/s.
Please see below for suggestions of things to consider in advance of our meeting:
- The type of ceremony you would like (burial/cremation);
- Where you would like the ceremony to be held;
- Who you would like to attend;
- Any music you might like included and the reason for your choice/s;

- If you would like to write something to be read out at your ceremony;
