“Zoë was incredible to work with from start to finish, we cannot recommend her highly enough – thank you Zoë for being a key part of our very special day. When we realized our dream venue did not have a license for a legal ceremony, we researched our options, as we still wanted to formally celebrate our marriage with a ceremony on our wedding day in front of all our friends and families. We discovered Humanism, and after exploring a little further, we decided that this would be a perfect fit for us, as with a Humanist ceremony you are fully in control and have the freedom to include anything and everything you want to really make your ceremony personal to you. We began our hunt for a Humanist, and came across Zoë’s profile, we were delighted when she confirmed she was available for our wedding.
Zoë was super friendly, helpful and enthusiastic from the very start, and we knew we were in safe hands. Our first meeting was a video call online (#Covid), and then as soon as everything opened up, we met in person for a coffee. We found it so easy to chat to Zoë, she made the whole experience exciting and effortless for us – it was a friendly chat rather than a questions and answer situation. The first draft of script was better than we could have imagined, Zoë had taken all our snippets and comments and drafted them into an incredible tailored masterpiece. We met Zoë again for a walk around of our venue, and again the day before our ‘big day’ for a rehearsal, we found this to be super helpful as she had a lot of input and advice around where to walk and stand, and it made everyone involved in the ceremony feel confident and comfortable. She even got involved in helping with a bit of the set up (not part of the service!) – thank you again for that Zoë!
On the day itself Zoë arrived early and helped to settle any last-minute nerves! Our ceremony was flawless, and our guests were completely captivated for the entire time – something you don’t get with a generic ceremony, when people normally drift off keen to move on to the party. We had so many compliments on the ceremony, on how interesting and personalized it was to us and our story, it brought back a lot of memories for some of our older friends which was lovely when reminiscing later on in the day.
All in all, I am beyond pleased that we were in a way forced to look beyond the traditional wedding ‘ceremony’, as the day just wouldn’t have been the same. We can’t thank Zoë enough for her hard work and commitment to making our ceremony so special and memorable – thank you Zoë!”
