Hello. Please allow me to introduce myself, I am a Humanist Celebrant, for non-religious funerals and memorials, trained and accredited by Humanists UK.

You don’t have to be a Humanist to have a humanist funeral.

They are for anyone who believes that we don’t need organised religion to lead a good and valued life; a life which is remembered, honoured and celebrated in a humanist funeral ceremony.

For each ceremony, I will:

  • Meet with you and other close family or friends to get a true perspective and understanding of your loved one
  • Write a unique and meaningful tribute for your loved one, available for you to read and review well before the ceremony day
  • Devise a structure and flow for the funeral ceremony
  • Help choose appropriate music, poetry and readings if appropriate
  • Include a pause in the ceremony where mourners with a religious faith can remember the deceased in their own way
  • Liaise with the Funeral Director and crematorium or burial ground staff to ensure a smooth ceremony on the day
  • Provide you with a high-quality presentation copy of the ceremony script after the funeral, both hard copy and via email

I would be privileged to conduct a funeral service or celebration of life for your loved one and will work closely with you to ensure that the ceremony is as special and as personal as we can make it.

Please contact me either by phone or email for an initial chat, with no obligation at all.
