What I do

I help individuals and families to create non-religious funeral ceremonies and memorial events which celebrate the life of their relative or friend; and then I lead the ceremony on the day.

I’m trained and accredited by Humanists UK, and am a member of the North London Humanist celebrants’ network. I cover all parts of North London, plus most parts of Hertfordshire.

About me

I’ve worked as a social work practitioner and manager for many years, mainly with children and families under pressure but also with older adults and with people living with unstable mental health. I have a generally positive outlook on life, and I’ve been described by others as both compassionate and determined!

I enjoy my role as a funeral celebrant and feel privileged to work in partnership with families at a very difficult time. Together we can create a meaningful ceremony which accurately reflects the life of the person who has died, as well as providing some comfort to the bereaved.

I live with my husband and our three nearly grown up children in Wood Green, North London and in my spare time enjoy reading fiction and anything historical, travel (when possible) and being part of the volunteer team at Alexandra Palace.
