About Claire Jenkins

Hello, my name is Claire and I’m a funeral celebrant with humanist UK based in the North West.

As your celebrant, my role will be to give you the service you want. Every ceremony I conduct is unique, special and meaningful. And most importantly, I take my approach and direction from you.

A funeral is a memory and I will work with you to create an individual and tailored ceremony which reflects and celebrates your loved one. One which brings your community of family and friends together to grieve, share memories and say a meaningful goodbye at this milestone event.

I will lead the ceremony, suggest the running order, create the eulogy and assist with sourcing music, readings, poetry where required. I will present as much or as little of the service as you want.

I will share every proposed aspect of the ceremony with you until you are reassured you have the service which is right for you.

I will meet with you to discuss your needs, liaise with the funeral director and the crematorium to ensure a smooth and polished ceremony. By supporting you beforehand and on the day I will help to reduce the inevitable stress on you at this difficult time. You will be assured that your funeral event is in safe hands.

My working life of over 30 years has always been very people focused. This coupled with my own life experience has made me empathetic, patient and non-judgemental. My listening skills enable me to gain a real understanding and appreciation of your loved one in order that the service I develop is a very fitting and personal tribute.

As an accredited humanist celebrant, the service will be non-religious. However, I am happy to incorporate religious elements such as a favourite hymn if that is what you want.

Please ring me for a chat about your specific funeral needs. A meaningful funeral ceremony is the last thing you can do for your loved one and my role is to provide you with the send-off you want. As their funeral is the last thing you will do for them.
