Namings
I am delighted to be able to offer personal, bespoke Naming ceremonies. This may be for a child – welcoming a child in to a family, by birth or adoption. Or for anyone celebrating a new name or identity – perhaps to celebrate a transitioning of gender, divorce, a joining of families or other life event. I would be pleased to assist and to help to make your celebration a happy and joyous occasion. Please give me a call or send me an email to chat things over , without commitment. Once we have talked, we can arrange to meet at a time to suit you, to make a plan. We will work together to create a ceremony that is completely personal and right for you. I’m flexible, adaptable, open and creative. A naming ceremony may take place at your home, in a pub, café or hotel, perhaps outside, in a park , on the beach or anywhere.

‘O’s naming day was absolutely perfect, you put everything together so beautifully and I was really blown away by the whole day!
Thank you!’
‘Debbie created a wonderful warm ceremony to mark E’s adoption. What a wonderful way to celebrate her arrival into the family’.
‘Debbie was an absolutely wonderful celebrant. She lead a beautiful ceremony full of intimacy, warmth, and laughter. We really felt she understood our journey to becoming a family and represented this to our collected friends and family with joy and passion. Debbie was friendly and approachable and we were very appreciative that she spent some time after the ceremony chatting and joining in with the celebration. We had a lovely day with Debbie and wouldn’t hesitate to contact her again for another humanist ceremony in future, or recommend her to friends and family’.
‘Debbie was fantastic. Very giving of her time and supportive in getting the ceremony exactly right for us’.
‘Your ceremony was full of energy and beautifully child centred. You lifted the room with your wonderful story telling. You did a great job.’
‘The ceremony Debbie did for us made me laugh and made me cry. It was energetic and heart-felt and something that both adults and children there will remember forever. Thanks Debbie; you really made some very special memories for us’.
