Why have a humanist ceremony?

All humanist ceremonies put people at their heart. They celebrate our uniqueness and individuality, and recognise us as human beings and our connections with others and the natural world around us.

Each ceremony is custom-made, and is personal, and authentic. As your celebrant, I work closely with you to create the occasion that you want, whether it’s a wedding, a naming ceremony, a funeral or a memorial.

In brief, this is your ceremony – for each other or for someone you love – and together we craft the celebration that you want and tell your story in the way you choose.

About

I love my work as a celebrant and consider it an enormous privilege to work with people at such key moments in their lives.

I’m a mum of two, and live with my photographer partner and two ginger cats in South London, though am a North/East Londoner by heritage. I grew up in Hertfordshire, though have also lived in Liverpool, France and Australia.

Interests are reading (my degree was French Literature), music of all genres (though consider that I am lucky enough to have grown up in the most significant decade for pop music!), art and theatre, modernist architecture and cooking.

For many years I worked in publishing and the entertainment industry, so the importance of storytelling, and how we share our stories with one another, is very close to my heart.

I speak French fluently, and have an understanding of Spanish and German, and have delivered bi-lingual ceremonies.
