Who I am

Eliza Johnson is the administrator of this web page and is responsible for processing all information accessed through this web page, emails and telephone queries.

When registering an interest in the business Eliza Johnson, Humanist Wedding Celebrant; when asking me to contact you, when asking me to work with you, explaining how I might help you or to provide you with information about my and my colleague’s Humanist Celebrancy services.

Personal information provided by third parties

Please note that I generally do not give or receive information about you from third parties, although on occasions another Humanist Celebrant may provide your details to me if they cannot provide the service you are looking for, or I may contact a venue/supplier etc on your behalf. I will always inform and check with you you are happy for me to do so.

Personal information you provide about third parties

If on the rare occasion I might require information about a third party referred to by you, I will approach them directly for that information but I will let you know I am doing so.

Monitoring and recording communications

I will only retain emails from you that relate to the current enquiry you are making. If I make notes I will keep this information secure and it will be destroyed when our current contract has ceased.

How I use the information collected

I collect information from you relating to your requests that relate to delivering Humanist Wedding ceremonies.

Who your information may be shared with

I never share your information held electronically or on paper records with any other organisation or individual without your consent. I may share your information with other Humanist celebrants if I cannot provide you with the services you require but I would always seek your permission to do so.

I would be compelled to share information with law enforcement agencies in connection with any investigation to help prevent unlawful activity or for fiscal agencies such as HMRC.

Keeping your information secure

All emails are encrypted. All documents are encrypted. All paper records are kept in a secure place for the duration of our contract and are then destroyed. All contact details are stored electronically with your permission. I will never transfer any information about you outside the EEC or via third party services outside the EEA.

However, whilst I will use all reasonable efforts to secure your personal data, in using the site you acknowledge that the use of the internet is not entirely secure and for this reason I cannot guarantee the security or integrity of any personal data that are transferred from you or to you via the internet. What rights do you have?
Right to request a copy of your information

You can request a copy of the information which I hold about you (this is known as a ‘subject access request’). If you would like a copy of some or it, please:

• let me have proof of your identity and address (a copy of your driving licence or passport and a recent utility or credit card bill), and
• let me know the information you want a copy of, including any account or reference numbers, if you have them

Right to correct any mistakes in your information

You can require me to correct any mistakes in your information which we hold free of charge. If you would like to do this, please:

• let me have enough information to identify you (e.g account number, user name, registration details), and
• let me know the information that is incorrect and what it should be replaced with

Right to ask me to stop contacting you with direct marketing via the same processes as above – I never do this though!
