LGBTQ+

Being You Is The Most Wonderful Thing You Can BeI’m Here To Help You Celebrate That! 🙂

Who is this Wonderful Lesbian!?

I am Gracie (She/Her), a LGBTQ+ inclusive humanist celebrant. I am a loud and proud, fabulously gay celebrant. My aim is to create bespoke wedding ceremonies for couples that tell their love story in their own way. I want to help my couples feel comfortable to fully embrace who they are, and have their ceremony filled to the brim with everything that makes them them as individuals and them as a couple—everything you love all wrapped up into a lovely, jubbly, meaningful, fun ceremony. Fun, eclectic, meaningful, and funky ceremony—I will fangirl and support you all the way. 🙂

Understanding Discrimination:

I am a regular at local gay events and gay prides all over the country. I know the hardships many are still facing due to non-accepting families and societies. I know too well the unfair treatment many people (including my friends and family members) have had to deal with on a day-to-day basis due to their sexualities or gender identities and how governments all over the world are failing their citizens when it comes to LGBTQ+ rights. I know the heart-breaking truth about how people in the community are still being made to feel by non-supporters. Well, not with me! I am all about encouraging people to be their true authentic selves, and I believe that everyone should have the same rights no matter their sexuality, gender, ethnicity, etc. (which is what Humanist UK supports too). My work and social circles have always consisted of wonderful people from all varieties of the LGBTQ+ community. I am passionate about LGBTQ+ rights, and I have done various fundraising work for Birmingham LGBTQ+, Mermaids and I’m currently working on a project along side Humanist LGBTQ+.

Even in the wedding sector people under the umbrella face hardships and fear discrimination on, what is meant to be, one of the happiest days of their lives. Being unable to use chosen pronouns in registry offices for legal weddings for example. Although I cannot change the law, I am able to help people have the ceremonies they deserve with the inclusivity they currently don’t have in the eyes of the law (using alternative pronouns).

Being unapologetically YOU 🙂 :

Your wedding day is to celebrate you and your partner and all the wonderful, beautiful, crazy, funny, cute, silly, and eclectic things that make you the people you are and the couple you are, and I will be your biggest fan girl!

Whether your wedding day has your family, your chosen family, or both, your day is about the two of you, and being LGBTQ+ doesn’t mean it should be any less personal, bespoke, or beautifully creative and meaningful.

My ceremonies are tailored to each individual couple, and my documents and files to create your ceremony with you are all gender neutral or have pronoun preferences with editing options. I will do everything I can to make you feel comfortable and relaxed before your big day! 🙂

Inclusivity and Ally-ship is more than just being part of LGBTQ+ myself:

All my documents I send to clients are LGBTQ+ inclusive. My files I send to clients to fill out have pronoun options and are all gender neutral. My Anthology of poems are LGBTQ+ inclusive with the option of editing to fit each couples individual preferences. My branding is aimed at both LGBTQ+ and Hetero couples. My socials posts are all gender neutral or using she/her/him/he/they/them pronouns. My website and socials state I am Gay/lesbian and that I am LGBTQ+ inclusive. My socials posts and bio include gay flags and rainbows and LGBTQ+ hashtags. I regularly Post same sex couples photos on my socials.

I am also part of Rebel Love Directory which is the first UK LGBTQ+ only wedding supplier directory 🙂
