Choose Your Celebrant.

For C such an important day in your life, it’s essential you are comfortable with your celebrant.  We can talk on the phone or via video call, if you live locally to me we can meet up for a chat at my local coffee shop.

The Planning Meeting.

Some couples have a very clear idea of how they want their ceremony to be, whilst others have ideas but no planned structure in mind. It is also perfectly natural to know that you want to get married or make a commitment to each other but have no idea what you would like at all. It’s great to have an initial planning meeting, on the phone or via video call, if you live locally to me we can meet up for a chat at my local coffee shop.

Script Development.

Following the initial planning meeting, I take your ideas and produce a draft script. I will be able to give you as much or as little input as is needed to help you make decisions about issues such as music, readings, involving guests, symbolic actions (e.g. handfasting, the lighting of union candles) and writing of vows or promises. I will keep you in touch with how the ceremony script is progressing.

Script Approval.

The first draft script will be sent to you for any further suggestions and amendments. Any amendments will then be returned to you for final approval.

The Rehearsal.

To help settle any nerves, it can be useful to talk through the ceremony key elements. Where possible I always like to speak with my couples the week before the ceremony’s and chat with any family or friends who have a key role.

The Big Day.

I will arrive at the venue at least twenty minutes before the ceremony is due to commence. During this time I will ensure I am available for any last minute enquiries you may have. I will also check that things are laid out as we had planned.
