About Ian

Hello. My name is Ian and I am part of a growing network of Humanist Celebrants in Northern Ireland. Although I am based close to Moira I am happy to travel and can easily find most places. I have been lucky enough to have had two careers. My first was in industry and my second was in teaching. I loved the second more than the first and I think it was because I was dealing with people’s lives and not their business. This is why I find working as a celebrant to be so fulfilling.

I have been married for 36 years (to the same person), have three grown up children (probably more grown up than me) and a Yorkshire terrier.
Cycling, walking, photography and Ornithology are some of the things I enjoy in my spare time. I love to travel and last year I travelled in a Motorhome to Shetland. Plenty to see including Killer Whales just casually swimming by. Amazing place.

With a wealth of experience talking to everyone from Managing Directors, Operations Managers, Lecturers, students and a wide range of parents I am sure if you get in touch with me, whoever you are, together we can create a memorable ceremony the way you want it.

This is what  Humanist ceremonies are supposed to be.  All of the ceremonies I have been involved in have brought joy, happiness and fun or peace comfort and warmth to clients.
