About Jenny Clarke

I am a Humanist Funeral Celebrant, trained and accredited by the BHA.  I live in London and I conduct funeral ceremonies anywhere within a 50 mile (or so) radius.

I became a Humanist Funeral Celebrant because I had been to too many funerals which seemed to have very little to do with the person who had died.  Of course, the religious ceremony is comforting to those who find the words meaningful – but often the man or woman whose life we were honouring was not such a person, and nor am I.

A funeral is an important “rite of passage” and I thought there must be a better way to mark the end of the life of someone much-loved and respected. The British Humanist Association’s ethos and training met these needs.

Who better to decide what a meaningful ceremony might be than those suffering a loss?   It is an honour and privilege to help people to create a unique ceremony, especially designed to meet their wishes.
