About
I am based in Exeter and lead non-religious funeral ceremonies in Devon.
I worked in education for over 30 years, as an English teacher and adviser – a rewarding and challenging career. And now I find it equally rewarding to use the skills which I developed, to meet bereaved family and friends, listen to them talk about the person who has died and help them to have the funeral ceremony they want.
Together we create a ceremony which reflects the personality and values of the person who has died, and which honours, pays tribute to, celebrates their life. The choice of words is agreed between us so that the focus of each ceremony is right for you.
Sometimes family and friends play a part as speakers or readers; on other occasions I lead the whole ceremony.
