About me

I’ve lived in the Kent countryside for 25 years with my wife, and two (now increasingly old and grumpy) cats. Our kids are grown up, and descend for R&R just often enough for it to remain a delight to see them.

Until 2021 I spent my working life as an adviser of one sort or another to the media and communications market – first I was a lawyer specialising in film and TV production, then I set up two businesses which advised the people who ran large media and telecoms companies about the impact of the evolving digital marketplace. As such I have spent over 30 years listening, understanding and explaining things to my clients, and learning how to tell complex stories clearly and well – a skill set that I now try to bring to my role as a celebrant.

I work a couple of mornings a week at a local branch of Citizen’s Advice, and help out at a hedgehog rescue when I can. Beyond all that, there’s the cinema, cooking, seeing friends, drinking decent wine and other distractions.

Also cleaning up after said cats (grrr).
