Every ceremony I design and lead is different, because every life is different.

Many people arrive here unsure where to begin, and that’s completely understandable.

Arranging a funeral can feel unfamiliar and sometimes overwhelming — especially when you want to get it right for someone you care about.

Families often tell me they’re not quite sure where to start, or how to create something that feels both meaningful and true to the person who has died.

My role is to guide you through that gently, helping you shape a ceremony that feels right — for you, and for them.

What matters most is not getting everything perfect, but creating something that feels honest and true.

About me

My name is Kay and I am an accredited Humanist funeral celebrant in Newcastle upon Tyne. I also serve as a Trustee and Director of Humanists UK.

This keeps me closely connected to the values, standards, and good practice that guide Humanist ceremonies.

I work with families across Newcastle upon Tyne, Gateshead, and the wider North East.

I specialise in creating and leading non‑religious funerals, celebrations of life, memorials, and ash‑scattering ceremonies. Each one is crafted with warmth, compassion and care, and created exclusively for your loved one.

I was drawn to funeral celebrancy through my own experiences of funerals, including speaking at my mum’s and for close friends.

Those moments showed me how important it is to create something that feels real, personal, and meaningful — something that reflects the person who has died, rather than following a set script.

That experience continues to shape how I work with families, giving space for something that feels honest, thoughtful, and right for you.

My aim is simple: to support you through a difficult time and help you shape a ceremony that truly reflects the person you’re honouring, whether you’re arranging a funeral in Newcastle upon Tyne or elsewhere in the North East.

Celebrancy isn’t the only work I do. I am also the founder and Managing Director of Forster Jones Consulting, where I work as a coach, consultant, and workplace mediator, supporting people and organisations through change and significant moments — which strongly informs how I work with families at difficult times.
