Hi! I’m Lily – an accredited humanist celebrant with a passion for cats, live music, spicy food, and bright colours.

My goal as a celebrant is to create a bright, joyful, and inclusive secular ceremony for you and your partner that really reflects who you are. What makes you both unique, and what’s special about your story together.

So let’s hang out! Whether it’s a natter on the phone or a meet-up at your favourite pub or coffee joint, I want to get to know you both so I can create something deeply personal and one-of-a-kind for your ceremony – a magical moment that you and your loved ones will remember for years to come.

How it works

You wouldn’t buy a pair of shoes without trying them on (OK, unless you’re a Vinted addict, like me)… so why would you book a celebrant without working out whether they’re the right person to write your ceremony?

1. Send me a quick message at lily.walsworth@humanistceremonies.org.uk with a bit of info about yourself and your partner and your wedding date, plus any ideas you have for the big day.
2. I’ll respond within 2-3 days with some dates and times for a preliminary 20 minute Zoom chat, where we can get to know each other a bit and you can work out if I’m the person you’d like to write your ceremony!
3. If you’d like to book me, I’ll send over a contract and ask for a 20% deposit of the overall fee to hold the date, and then we can get to the fun bit – the planning.
4. Over the coming months, I’ll get to know you and your partner better, speak to loved ones and work to create the perfect ceremony script for you. We’ll meet up in person at least once for a chat and to share ideas, and I’ll send you up to three drafts of the script for your approval.
5. A month before the big day, I’ll ask for the remaining 80% of the fee – and on the day, I’ll be there no matter what, ready to share and to celebrate your love story and marry you both.
6. Afterwards, I’ll send a beautiful presentation copy of your script for you and your loved ones to look back on for years to come.
