First up, congratulations on getting engaged and WELL DONE for thinking about having a humanist ceremony for your big day.
I’m Linda and I create and deliver bespoke, relaxed and utterly joy filled humanist wedding ceremonies. I live in Leeds, in Yorkshire and love a wedding that has a bit of DIY, perhaps a hint of vintage and all of the love and joy!

I became a wedding celebrant after seeing my brother get married to the love of his life, under a big oak tree, in the most beautiful and personal ceremony (Ok, it was my brothers wedding so I might be a little bias – but honestly, it was great!). From that moment on, I knew I had to learn everything I could to be able to offer the choice of a truly personal ceremony to every couple who wishes to have one.

Why should you choose a humanist ceremony?

• The ceremony will be written just for you, so it will be completely personal and tell your story
• You can keep as many traditions as you like, throw away the ones you’re not fussed for, and maybe create a new tradition or two just for you
• You can involve your friends, family, your mums dog (!) as much as you would like to
• It can take place wherever you would like it to, on the top of a hill in the Lake District, on a windswept beach in Northumberland or your very own living room – the choice is entirely yours
• Each and every word can be checked by you (and we can edit along the way) so that your beliefs and values are truly represented
• You choose the tone that suits you best and pave the way for the rest of your day
• Your guests will be genuinely engaged, have fun, get emotional and may even learn something new about you
• You get to choose the person who will deliver your ceremony, they will have gotten to know you – definitely laughed with you (maybe cried with you!) and will be there to reassure you and put you at ease.
