About LIZ CARLILE
Big occasions –be they sad or challenging, poignant or exciting, magical or tragic – are really important. These key moments in our lives provide critical markers that can help us open up exciting new opportunities or help us to journey through darker times to a brighter future.
Being a celebrant is so rewarding and I am so glad to be a part of this community.
I have been designing events for many years and have seen for myself just how much people benefit from help in co-creating something that works for everyone. As celebrants we bring that support and creativity to key moments in people’s lives – Making Moments Count!
I am recently re-firing (rather than retiring!) from a career working internationally, fighting for global issues like climate change and the environment, the future of cities, natural resources and sustainable business.
And as a strategic communications professional I am very comfortable public speaking and used to writing and presenting to audiences big and small. I am approachable, personable and empathetic and experienced working with people from many different cultures and backgrounds.
I am fundamentally a non-religious person but I strongly believe that inclusion – respecting & making room for different ages, genders, cultures, faiths & sexuality – is essential to a society that works for all.
Facilitating, mentoring and strategic planning are still a motivator for me. I love learning stuff, dancing & music festivals, walking the dog, going to yoga or cycling and spending time with my grandchildren, family and friends.
Please do call me on 07788665412 if you would like to get in touch – I am always happy to chat.
