I live in Altrincham, and conduct Humanist, non-religious funerals and memorial ceremonies across Cheshire, Greater Manchester, Warrington and the surrounding areas.

A Humanist Funeral can be the celebration of a life and an opportunity to say goodbye in a caring and dignified way.

I consider it a great privilege to meet the family and friends of someone who has died and to listen to their memories of that person. What I love most about my work is gathering this material and creating from it a unique and memorable ceremony which truly captures the essence of the person for whom it was written and the life they lived.

I can help you to incorporate appropriate music or readings into the ceremony and will offer support and advice to anyone who wishes to make their own tribute. On the day, I will take the lead and support everyone involved, speaking as much or as little as is required. Although Humanist funerals are non-religious, I will also aim to make your ceremony as inclusive as possible and to give everyone opportunity to say goodbye in their own way, whatever their beliefs.

You will receive a beautifully presented printed copy of the tribute to keep as a memento.

In short, your ceremony will be one that is memorable – that will help you, your friends and your family through this difficult, yet vital part of the grieving process.

About me:

After graduating from university, I spent over twenty years living and working overseas in Japan, USA, Brazil, France and Malta, and love meeting people from a variety of countries and cultures. I have worked mostly in Human Resources, as a trainer and also as a tutor of English and French to people of all ages and backgrounds.

In 2008 I gave birth to a stillborn baby and it made me think a lot about the importance of a beautiful uplifting ceremony to help people get through a difficult time – in this case before life had even begun.

I have now settled in the NorthWest with my husband and three small children. My role as a celebrant provides continuing opportunities for me to work with individuals and families in a significant way.
