Covid-19 Statement

Covid-19 Information

Funerals

I am currently still receiving and accepting requests from funeral directors and directly from families to conduct funerals.  I volunteered for a vaccine trial and after being ‘unblinded’ have discovered that I have been fully vaccinated ahead of schedule for my age. However, I am still being cautious and ensuring the safety of everyone that I work with. I have access to regular covid tests and will ensure that I am tested before any ceremonies. If I test positive, I will immediately self-isolate as per current Government recommendations.

At any ceremonies that I do perform, I will be unable to offer any personal contact/ physical comfort: as difficult as this is, it is for everyone’s safety. I am also required to follow the Government guidelines about face masks. Presentation copies of my script will be in electronic format after the ceremony, and a physical copy will be posted in due course.

I am following government guidelines regarding meeting people for ceremony preparations and can now meet you in your home if you wish. I also am available to meet via Skype, Zoom, Google Meet or any other online conference software. I am also keeping up to date with the government guidelines regarding maximum numbers at Crematoriums and will be able to advise you on this.

Large funerals are not currently feasible, and as such, some people may want another memorial ceremony for wider friends and family after the restrictions are lifted. I am happy to talk to people about preparing one of these ceremonies.

Some Crematoriums offer streaming of ceremonies. For those that don’t, I have a reliable and reasonably priced videographer who I can ask to film your ceremonies and provide you with a private YouTube link so that people who couldn’t attend can watch the ceremony online.

Weddings

As restrictions continue to be progressively loosened in the UK, I am looking forward to conducting face to face weddings again, but I am keeping myself up to date with changes as they happen and will continue to follow the Government’s restrictions and guidelines until they are lifted completely. If you are unsure what the current restrictions are, please get in touch and I will be able to advise.

I am still receiving and accepting requests from couples to conduct their weddings later in 2021 and beyond.

I have now successfully rescheduled all of the weddings that I had booked for 2020 that have had to be postponed but still have some dates available for 2021 for new wedding enquiries.

I am following government guidelines regarding meeting couples for ceremony preparations, and can now meet you in a pub/coffee shop or your home if you wish. I am available to meet via Skype, Zoom, Google Meet or any other online conference software.
