About Nick Baldwin, Celebrant, accredited by Humanists UK

You’ve come to the right place to find a celebrant to help you mark the important moment you’re planning now. My name is Nick Baldwin, and I am trained and accredited by Humanists UK as a Celebrant for non-religious funerals, weddings, partnerships, and naming ceremonies in Oxford, across Oxfordshire and bordering counties.

With 30 years experience of taking ceremonies, previously in a traditional religious setting, I will provide a flexible and personal approach to arranging your ceremony. I navigated a major change in my life, aged 48, when I came out as a gay man, moved to Oxford and started a new career in administration at the University. Peter and I were thrilled to have a humanist celebrant take our wedding in 2016.

Since retiring last year I have been travelling in the UK and abroad, and volunteering with both Sobell House Hospice and as the Coordinator for the LGBT Humanists. My three much loved adult children are finding their way in the world and I am enjoying getting to know my three young grandchildren.

Give me a ring on 07759 472 056 or email me at nick.baldwin@humanistceremonies.org.uk to have an initial conversation to talk about what kind of ceremony you want. I’d love to hear from you. Evenings and weekends are fine.

You don’t have to be a Humanist to have a humanist ceremony. They’re for anyone who believes that we don’t need to be religious to lead a good life.

My work as a celebrant has been a huge privilege. I’ve met many wonderful people and heard life stories that have been fascinating, inspirational, hilarious, and deeply moving. As you prepare to mark your important moment, you will want to share information with me and I will work hard to create a ceremony that reflects the significance of your event.
