Paul Wood is an accredited celebrant, living in Thanet, dedicated to producing and conducting uniquely personal and bespoke non-religious funeral ceremonies. 

Hi I’m Paul, I’m a Humanist UK trained and accredited funeral celebrant.

Being privileged enough to play an important role in the final stage of somebody’s life is a huge honour. I decided to take the training to become a celebrant after attending a friend’s Humanist funeral. It was done in such a personable way, and handled with huge warmth and compassion.

Each life is different and therefore this should be reflected in a persons funeral. I’m interested in telling the story of the deceased person and helping you, their family and friends, to celebrate their individualism. I aim to craft a bespoke tribute to your loved one.  I like to work closely with the people who knew them best to find the most fitting composition of music, readings and poetry.

I’ve worked as an actor since 2006. Many of the skills I have acquired in the profession stand me in good stead to deliver a funeral to a very high standard.

I enjoy theatre, cinema, literature and take part in a range of sports. I live in Margate with my wife Amy, our cat Des and dog Rhonda.
