Hello I am Rachel!

I am a Humanist funeral celebrant; I facilitate and conduct humanist funerals across Northern Ireland. Unlike traditional ceremonies  a Humanist funeral  celebrant strives to honour the loved one who has died and share their life story reflecting on how they choose to live it . These ceremonies are completely non-religious and are based on the life lived, the journey that individual travelled and their relationships with those around them.

I meet with family members and listen to the story they want to share. Together we  discuss their choice of music, poetry or words that may be appropriate  to represent the individual life.

Each life is unique, each relationship is personal. My role is to help piece together all the different elements and share that story to mark the ending of life and  honour the life that was lived.
